Every collection I design begins with a memory. This one is the origin.

The year was 2000. Red-hot Nasdaq. Son in tow, I came to stake my claim in the latest California gold rush.

Carmel-by-the-Sea. Our new home. Saturday morning. Katy’s Place for breakfast—fried calamari steak and eggs. Only in California.

We walked past a jewelry store. I stopped dead in my tracks.

Crosses. Crosses like I had never seen before. I had been searching for one for nearly a year.

What I thought would be a quick browse before we headed to the beach turned into hours when the designer walked in.

Golden-blonde curls. Former ballerina. Definite rock-star energy.

Yes, I bought a cross. Got a date. We later became lovers and business partners.

That chance encounter began my journey into fine jewelry design and manufacturing.

Decades later, our AI-assisted design process reimagines the cross as belt buckles in solid 18k yellow, white and rose gold.

Heavy metal, redefined. Also available as necklaces.

Each belt buckle is numbered, documented and can be personalized.
